Massachusetts Connecting Activities

Students

Students thinking about what they will be doing after high school need access to career-related experiences, and they need a way to develop plans for their futures.  Connecting Activities offers resources for students about these key issues.

Students are invited to browse this site to learn about some possibilities that may be available at their school or in their community, ranging from career fairs and job shadows, to internship programs and work opportunities.  An important place for students to begin is to find out about their  local Workforce Investment Board (WIB).  Using the "About" selection on the main menu to see the map of WIBs, students can use their zipcode to figure out which WIB covers their home town.

The links on the left side of this page lead to interesting websites that offer planning tools and a wealth of information about college and careers.  Students should also consult with their school counselors about ways to expand their horizons and gain experience in fields of interest.
